John Cena Confirmed For Upcoming Duke Nukem Film

Updated: Aug 14, 2020

According to several sources, former multiple time world champion and future WWE Hall of Famer John Cena, has officially been confirmed to be cast as Duke Nukem, in an upcoming film that will center around the classic first person shooter. The film will be backed by Platinum Dunes Studios, (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre & A Nightmare on Elm Street).

Producers Andrew Form & Brad Fuller commented on Cena's casting in the film, but as of yet there is no script on the table.

"Yeah, that's what we're working with now. He is. Yes. We don't have a script yet, so that is confirmed at this point but if he reads the script and he doesn't like the script I'm sure there's ways that he could pull out, but right now he's our guy"

Cena has appeared in several films in the past few years, so his acting resume will continue to gain momentum after Duke Nukem, regardless of how successful of a film it will be, but it will be interesting to see Cena as the foul mouthed, tough guy Duke Nukem.
