Tony Schiavone Comments If Bret Hart Should Be On The Mount Rushmore Of Professional Wrestling

On Volume 6 of 'Ask Tony Anything' with Co-hosts Conrad Thompson and the former voice of WCW Tony Schiavone, the topic was brought up as to whether or not Bret Hart deserves to be on the Mount Rushmore of Professional Wrestling. Tony Schiavone shared his thoughts on the age old question, and he was pretty neutral on the topic overall. Conrad Thompson brought up the point that perhaps the reason why Hart is rarely considered, is because of his less than memorable run in WCW and Schiavone had this to say about it.

"I don't know if WCW tarnished his legacy, I, I'm not so sure, he became the world champion, and he won it in Toronto right. He had. And of course, now we think about what happened with him and Goldberg and all that stuff, but I think the reason that Bret Hart is not on the, quote unquote, Mount Rushmore of wrestlers is because there are four other guys ahead of him. It's a very crowded group, there's Shawn Michaels. There's for better for worse Hulk Hogan, there's Ric Flair. And then after that, I, I don't know. You could put Bret Hart on there. You know this quote unquote Mount Rushmore question is always one for debate and it's always, you know, personal feelings and whatever."
